Under the campaign slogan "Our Land - Our Future," BSL’s Oxygen Plant celebrated World Environment Day, focusing on the themes of land restoration, combating desertification, and drought resilience. The event saw the presence of Chief Guest P.K. Baisakhia, Chief General Manager (Maintenance and Utilities), who led the plantation drive.
Baisakhia emphasized the importance of World Environment Day, highlighting BSL's commitment to reducing carbon emissions, increasing green cover, and lowering its carbon footprint. He praised the efforts of the Oxygen Plant in this regard.
The event witnessed active participation from officers and employees who planted saplings of neem, mahogany, mango, and other species. This plantation drive underscores BSL’s dedication to environmental protection and aligns with global efforts to combat climate change and promote sustainable environmental practices.
The program was conducted under the guidance of Sanjay Gupta, General Manager of the Oxygen Plant, who ensured enthusiastic participation from all attendees. Significant contributions to the plantation drive came from Rajeev Singh, V.K. Sharma, Chaitali Das, and Assistant General Manager Ranvijay Kumar.
