In a proactive move to ensure the smooth conduct of the 2024 Lok Sabha General Elections,Newly appointed District Election Officer (DEO) and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Vijaya Jadhav, along with Superintendent of Police (SP) Priyadarshi Alok, conducted inspections of various buildings pertaining to Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) dispatch, receiving, and counting centers on Sunday.
Present at the site were Additional District Magistrate Sourav Bhuvaniya, Additional Superintendent Mumtaz Ansari, Subdivisional Magistrate of Chas Om Prakash Gupta, District Deputy Election Officer Dhirendra Kumar, District Panchayat Raj Officer Safik Alam, and Special Duty Officer Kumar Kanishk, among others.
During the inspection, the DEO-SP duo identified the Bokaro Ispat Senior Secondary High School in Sector 08 of Bokaro Steel City as the designated EVM dispatch and material storage center. Additionally, they earmarked warehouses in the Chas market committee for EVM receiving and counting purposes. Necessary directives were issued to concerned authorities regarding this matter, emphasizing the importance of meticulous planning.
Detailed layouts of the identified buildings were instructed to be prepared by the Executive Engineer of the Building Complex. Moreover, arrangements for the cleanliness of premises, painting, and other essential facilities were instructed to be coordinated promptly with relevant departments under the guidance of District Deputy Election Officer Shri Dhirendra Kumar.
Prior to this, the DEO-SP team also inspected the EVM Warehouse near the District Collectorate, gathering pertinent information from the District Deputy Election Officer.
These proactive measures underscore the district administration's commitment to ensuring the integrity and efficiency of the electoral process, assuring voters of a transparent and smooth election experience.
