The State BJP has reacted strongly over possible regime change in State and has termed the decision of INDIA bloc leaders of replacing Champai Soren as Chief Minister of State as insult and injustice to tribal leaders of State.
Former chief minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) executive president Hemant Soren was elected as leader of ruling INDIA bloc leader in Assembly, paving the way to once become the chief minister of State.
BJP State President and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi attacked Hemant Soren for being re-elected as the leader in the JMM Congress RJD Legislature Party meeting. He said that the tribal outside the Shibu Soren family in JMM is only a makeshift one. The Shibu Soren family will use them as they wish and then throw him out like a fly in the milk.
He said that the real face of JMM, which talked about choosing the Chief Minister by rising above nepotism 5 months ago, has been exposed again today.
He said that this is a lesson for other tribal leaders of JMM. They should understand their boundary line. They should understand that they are only there to carry the palanquin of the Shibu Soren family. Flying high is not in their destiny.
Marandi said that Champai Soren ji is the Chief Minister of the state today but he was insulted repeatedly while in office. Despite chairing the meeting today, he was made to sit on the side. Earlier during the Lok Sabha elections, in the INDI Alliance rally held in Ranchi, he was given a place on the side of the stage while the daughter-in-law of the family, Kalpana Soren, sat in the middle of the stage without any post. Even in the middle of Champai Soren's speech, the party leaders present on the stage started getting up and leaving. He said that today the tiger of Kolhan was turned into a mouse.
After this news came through the media, Assam Chief Minister and co-in-charge of Jharkhand Assembly elections, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote on his Instagram that "It is very sad that a senior tribal leader was removed from the post of Chief Minister by JMM and Congress Party in Jharkhand. I am sure that the people of Jharkhand will strongly condemn this decision and strongly reject it"
At the same time, Leader of Opposition, Jharkhand Assembly Amar Kumar Bakri wrote on his Instagram that "This behavior of the Soren family with a senior leader like Champai Soren is very shameful and condemnable. Now only a few months are left for the elections in Jharkhand, but the Soren family is so desperate for power that they cannot stay away from it even for a day. Anyway, Hemant Soren was running the government from jail, but as soon as he came out of jail on bail, he became desperate to sit on the throne again. Hemant Soren has left no stone unturned to shame Jharkhand in the last five years."
It is known that in the meeting held in CM House on Wednesday in the presence of Chief Minister Champai Soren, MLAs of the ruling party and Congress state in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, there was a consensus on Hemant Soren becoming the Chief Minister. It was also decided that this information should be given today itself by going to the Raj Bhavan. With this, Hemant Soren will assume the responsibility of the post of Chief Minister for the third time in the state.
