BJP snubs Hemant’s remarks on death of excise constable aspirant as baseless

Friday, 06 September 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

BJP's state spokesperson Pratul Shahdev termed the allegations levelled by Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha as baseless in which they said that the biggest reason behind the death of the candidates in the Excise Constable Recruitment drive is the corona vaccine.

Pratul said that there was complete mismanagement in the physical examination centres. Candidates were made to stand in line 24 hours before. Hungry and thirsty candidates were made to run in the humid heat. There was no proper arrangement for treatment in the centres. There was negligence in treatment in hospitals as well. Due to which 15 promising candidates lost their lives. More than 300 candidates are still struggling between life and death in hospitals. Pratul said that the Hemant government is responsible for these fifteen deaths.

The Hemant government is blaming the corona vaccine for these deaths only to divert attention from the allegations. This Covishield vaccine was given in 90 countries. 180 crore doses of this vaccine were administered in India. In March itself, the World Health Organization clarified in its report that in a country with a large population like India, the Covishield vaccine played a big role in the prevention of corona. In the same report, it is mentioned that the problem of blood clotting has been only 0.000003% in India.

Pratul said that the AstraZeneca company, which makes the vaccine, had also told the British court that whatever side effects this vaccine has in negligible numbers, they appear within the first month of the first dose of the corona vaccine. That is, there is no possibility of any side effects due to the corona vaccine in 2024.

Pratul said that in the race for the product soldier candidates, the government put the lives of 6 lakh candidates in danger just to brighten its face before the elections. There was no arrangement for water or glucose at the centres and neither was there any emergency medical facility. There was also no arrangement to immediately take the candidates who fell unconscious due to heat to the hospital.

The state government is responsible for the deaths of these 15 excise constable candidates. No matter what excuses it makes, the stain of these deaths cannot be erased from its name. Pratul said that the most regrettable thing is that the Bharatiya Janata Party is giving Rs 1 lakh compensation to all the candidates and is also visiting their homes. But this ruthless government has neither arranged for their treatment nor given any compensation. This is a state government that does false politics on dead bodies.
