BJP does not want to give rights to Jharkhandis: Kalpana Soren

Monday, 18 November 2024 | PNS

In the second phase of elections, MLA Kalpana Soren, addressed election meetings at various locations across Jharkhand including Mahagama, Dumri and Pakur constituencies.

In Mahagama, Soren accused the central government and said that the Mahagathbandhan government has passed 27 percent reservation, tribal Sarna religion code from the assembly for the backward classes and sent it to the central government for approval. But they have not approved it yet as the central government does not want to give Jharkhandis their rights.

Soren said that the Mahagathbandhan government will continue to raise its voice for the rights of Jharkhand. All of you Mahagama residents should support the Mahagathbandhan government, so that continuous work can be done for you.

Kalpana Soren said that the central government only gives the burden of inflation and does not try to reduce it. The Mahagathbandhan government understood the situation of the people of Jharkhand and waived off the outstanding electricity bills to give them relief from inflation.

She said that this government has provided financial assistance to lakhs of mothers and sisters. Agricultural loans of farmers were also waived off and Deepika Pandey Singh has made the biggest contribution in agricultural loan waiver. The Grand Alliance government has waived off farmers' loans up to Rs 2 lakh.

While addressing the public in Pakur and Dumri. Kalpana said that the double engine government worked to bring Jharkhand behind with double power. Big leaders of BJP are hovering in the State and this is a symbol of their restlessness of staying away from power. There is hardly any big leader left who has not come to Jharkhand. Some are even camping here. BJP people are hovering in Jharkhand, but did not go to see the atrocities being committed on tribal women in Manipur.

She said that when BJP was in power, it deprived children of education by closing thousands of schools, cancelled 11 lakh ration cards and deprived people of the right to food.

The central government did injustice to the people of Jharkhand by sending the development money to BJP ruled states. But the Mahagathbandhan government gave people their rights, started excellent schools and provided education to children through English medium. Soren said this government is providing financial assistance to strengthen half of the population and this amount is now going to increase from one thousand to 2500.

Soren also said that women have openly participated in the first phase of voting, which clearly proves that their faith in the Mahagathbandhan government's Maiyaan Samman Yojana and the schemes started for women has become stronger.

She said that the BJP people had filed a PIL in the honorable court regarding the respect we are giving to our mothers and sisters, which was rejected by the court. This gave them a hard slap in the face.
