Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress party workers clashed in Bhopal when Congressmen were protesting over the nursing college scam.
Congressmen gathered at Ashoka Garden police station to get an FIR registered against minister Vishwas Sarang while BJP workers and women were reciting Sunderkand in the Hanuman temple built in the police station premises. They had placards with slogans against Singhar and Katare in their hands. The temple premises were covered with curtains.
As soon as the Congressmen reached near the police station, the police stopped them by putting up barricades, then the BJP workers and women came out. Seeing the situation of the clash, the police had to call in additional force. Amidst the uproar, the Congress submitted a memorandum to the police demanding action against minister Sarang.
After returning from the police station, former CM Digvijay Singh said, Sunderkand was being recited in the police station. I was the CM for 10 years. It is not written anywhere that Sunderkand can be recited in the police station.
The SHO of Ashoka Garden said that it was organized by the police. Then he said, the recitation was done by the police on the birthday of Naresh Yadav. Birthdays of our workers will also be celebrated in police stations. Bakra Eid and Guru Nanak Jayanti will also be celebrated.
A shoe was thrown from where Sunderkand was being performed. It hit a constable. I want to warn government officials and employees, if they do not follow the rules, we will not sit quietly.
BJP workers were reciting Sunderkand in the Hanuman temple built in the police station premises. The premises were covered with curtains. The police also barricaded them.
The police's argument regarding Sunderkand Paath was that this program was pre-scheduled on someone's birthday, but as soon as the Congress leaders reached the police station, women came out of the pandal and started raising slogans.
After the program ended, the women filed an application in the police station to register an FIR accusing Digvijay Singh of stopping Sunderkand. They also accused him of indecency. After coming out of the police station, Digvijay announced to celebrate festivals of all religions in the police station.
Digvijay said that the mentality and method of the scams happening from Vyapam till now is of that person who was the then Chief Minister. Now he is a minister at the center.
Umang Singhar said that appointments of registrars in the Nursing Council were made during Vishwas Sarang's tenure. Ineligible people were made registrars.
Sarang should resign. He is pushing women forward. I will expose another big scam in Sarang within four days. They should be ready.
Jitu Patwari said that the police have become a worker of the BJP. The administration is not run by the Constitution, but by the Constitution of the BJP. BJP workers were made to sit inside the police station. Until Vishwas Sarang resigns, the Congress party will continue to protest from the House to the streets.
