BJD candidate for Balangir Assembly seat, Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo, on Wednesday filed his nomination here.
Singh Deo, accompanied by his wife Meghana Rana, earlier visited several Devi temples of the town, to seek blessings and came to file his nomination papers in a huge rally accompanied by his father AU Singh Deo and other BJD leaders and workers amidst the scorching heat.
"With the blessings of the people and CM Naveen Patnaik, I wish to develop Balangir to a peaceful, crime-free, green and developed place, "said Kalikesh after filing his nomination.
Similarly, Surendra Singh Bhoi of BJD filed his nomination papers for the Bolangir Lok Sabha seat. “After CM Patnaik announced his decision to contest from Kantabanji Assembly seat, workers are in high spirits and the BJD is all set to win and form Government in the State,” claimed Bhoi.
