The Lieutenant Governor’s office on Friday called Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj’s statement criticizing Saxena over the delay in staffing new and existing hospitals in the city to be wrong and misleading.
An official from Raj Niwas claimed, “Press Conference Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj is again lying and misleading. The Health Department under him and his predecessor AAP Ministers never ever created the said approx 37,000 posts or wrote to or asked the Services Department to make recruitments against them, despite having sanctioned the construction of hospitals way back in 2019.”
He added that the posts are created by the Department concerned in consultation with the Administrative Reforms Department, Planning Department and Finance Department. “All these are transferred subjects under the AAP government. After creation they are sent to Services Department for filling up. Even the first step has not been taken till now, though these hospitals were to be completed within 6 months to 1 year,” another official said.
