A crucial meeting was held yesterday at the Bokaro Circuit House to address the severe power crisis affecting the Bokaro and Chandanakiyari assembly constituencies. The meeting was chaired by opposition leader Amar Bowri. Present at the meeting were Dhanbad MP Dhullu Mahto, Bokaro MLA Biranchi Narayan, Bokaro Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav, officials from DVC Bokaro Steel, and the Jharkhand Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (JUVNL).
During the meeting, electricity department officials assured that there will be a supply of electricity for 15 to 16 hours per day over the next three days. Following this period, nearly 24-hour power supply will be restored for the residents of the area.
Officials also highlighted issues such as the lack of procurement of essential materials like poles, wires, insulators, and transformers. The meeting concluded with a decision to send a requisition to the government for these necessary items.
The discussion emphasized the need for immediate action to alleviate the power crisis and provide relief to the affected residents.
