Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that no stone will be left unturned in the development of Mandla region. Ayurveda college will be started in tribal dominated Mandla.
Along with the medical college of allopathy, the district should also get the benefit of Ayurveda system of medicine. The importance of Ayurveda was evident during the time of Covid, when Ayurvedic kadha saved people from the pandemic. Very soon an Excellence College will also be started in Mandla and students will benefit from the upcoming session.
Yadav was taking part in a state level programme held on Saturday at Rani Durgavati College campus in Mandla where he transferred a total financial assistance amount of Rs 1576 crore to 1.29 crore Ladli Behnas of the state. He also transferred an amount of Rs 340 crore to the accounts of 56 lakh 61 thousand beneficiaries availing social security pension, with a single click. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performed bhoomi pujan and dedicated various development works worth Rs 134 crore. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also symbolically provided benefits to the beneficiaries of 12 pension schemes.
Yadav said that this land is the land of brave women. Rani Durgavati laid down her life for the country’s honour and dignity. Similarly, Rani Avanti Bai also sacrificed her life for the nation. An initiative has been taken through the new education policy to make the students of schools and colleges aware of the sacrifices of such brave women. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the saga of the valour of such brave women must reach the new generation. Today the statue of Rani Durgavati has been unveiled here. Earlier, on October 5, 2023, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had performed bhoomi pujan in Jabalpur for a special memorial on the 500th birth anniversary of Rani Durgavati based on various aspects of her life. Now this memorial will become an important center to inform the people about the importance of the sacrifice of Rani Durgavati. It's cost is Rs 100 crore.
The Chief Minister said that Shree Anna is produced in this area. To benefit its producers, the state government decided to give additional incentive of Rs 10 per kg (Rs 1,000 per quintal) to the farmers. There is a need to encourage the production of Kodo-Kutki. The Chief Minister said that the decisions were taken in the Council of Ministers meeting in Jabalpur to give priority to tribal dominated areas and to honour brave women like Rani Durgavati.
Chief Minister Yadav said that development is taking place in all sectors under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi who is committed to tribal development. He has worked to benefit the citizens through innovative schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana and many other useful schemes. Prime Minister Shri Modi will meet the tribal community in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, 11 February. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there was a time when there was no plan for proper utilization of Narmada water. In the last two decades, proper use of Narmada water for drinking water and irrigation in Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat has changed the lives of the citizens.
Yadav said that the state government has laid emphasis on celebrating festivals that highlight the importance of Indian culture. In this sequence, a special week was celebrated on the occasion of Makar Sankranti festival last month. Many ancient games were organized in this week, including Kabaddi Kho-Kho, racing, kite flying etc. We should have connection with every festival. Participation of the government along with the common people in celebrating our festivals is being ensured.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today is Ladli Behna day. The life of every Behna has been made easier with the monthly financial assistance being provided to them.
