To mark the auspicious 58th AWWA Day, a Veer Nari meet was held at the 3 EME Centre in Bairagarh under the auspices of the Sudarshan Chakra Corps. Smt. Nandita Singh, Zonal President of the Sudarshan Chakra Corps AWWA, engaged with and honored the “Veer Naris” and Next of Kin (NOKs) from the Bhopal District. She expressed deep gratitude for the ultimate sacrifices made by the Fallen Heroes and reaffirmed the commitment to provide all possible support to the Veer Naris, emphasizing that it is both a “Duty” and a “Dharma.”
This event marked the beginning of the 58th AWWA Week. The Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), established in 1966, is dedicated to the welfare of Veer Naris, as well as the families of serving and retired soldiers of the Indian Army. AWWA's primary focus is on supporting war widows, known as “Veer Naris.” The association provides essential emotional and moral support to help them cope with their loss while addressing any concerns they may have. AWWA plays a vital role in ensuring that army widows never feel abandoned at any stage of their lives.
