As part of the Campaign Mode for Vigilance Awareness Week 2024, an awareness programme on Cyberhygiene and Cybersecurity was organized by the Vigilance Department of Ranchi-based SAIL Units headed by Vishal Sinha, GM (Vigilance) & ACVO, and saw enthusiastic participation from the spouses of SAIL Units Ranchi employees.
The Chief Guest for the programme, Ved Prakash, ED (SDTD), SAIL, emphasized the importance of the programme in today's increasingly digital world, highlighting the critical need for awareness and education in cybersecurity. Sanjay Dhar, CGM (HR-L&D), MTI, and Atanu Mukherjee, GM I/c (Academics), MTI, also addressed the audience, reinforcing the urgent necessity for Cybersecurity and Cyberhygiene awareness.

Understanding Cyber Threats: Identifying different types of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Safe Online Practices: Best practices for online safety, including password management and recognizing phishing attempts.
Incident Response: Steps to take in case of a cyber incident to mitigate risks and report breaches effectively.
The programme not only raised awareness but also equipped participants with practical knowledge to protect themselves and their families in the digital age.
