If the officials of the Transport Department are to be believed, there was a shortage of it for a long time, but on the evening of August 20, cards and ink rebates have reached the RTO office, due to which this situation is likely to improve in the next two days, according to departmental officials, this pendency will be fixed in the next four days.
Upto 2000 cards are printed daily in the Regional Transport Office Bhopal.
According to transport officials, the shortage of chip cards has been going on for about a year, it is being said that due to the Russia Ukraine War, there is a problem in the transportation of chip cards. Due to this, cards are coming in very small quantities. Due to this, license applicants are facing problems. At the same time, since January 2024, the shortage of cards and ink ribbons has come to the fore about 3 to 4 times.
Anshu Vanshkar, a resident of Kolar, said that I had applied for the renewal registration card of my old car about a month ago, but I have not received my card yet, for many days I have been talking to the agent but he says that the cards have not come yet, when they come, he will get it immediately. She said that she has been having trouble with the vehicle registration card for a long time.
RTO Jitendra Sharma said that a large number of cards have arrived on Tuesday, the pendency will be cleared in the next two to three days. So that the applicants do not face any kind of problem.
The dispute between agents and officers in RTO also seems to be ending now, it is being said that for a long time the files of agents were not being taken by the RTO, after which the agents have protested in the RTO office many times, and also complained about it to the department.
