AIIMS Bhopal announced the initiation of Siddha services in its AYUSH Department, from Tuesday, bringing one of India's oldest and most comprehensive systems of medicine to the forefront of modern healthcare. Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, commented on this development, stating, "The introduction of Siddha services at AIIMS Bhopal is a reflection of our commitment to holistic healthcare.

By integrating ancient systems of medicine like Siddha with modern medical practices, we aim to offer our patients a comprehensive treatment approach that not only addresses their immediate health concerns but also enhances their overall well-being. This initiative will help in preserving India's rich medical heritage while ensuring that our community has access to diverse and effective healthcare options."

The Siddha system, deeply rooted in Dravidian culture, boasts a rich heritage spanning over 6,000 years and offers a holistic approach to health, encompassing preventive, promotive, curative, rehabilitative, and rejuvenative aspects.

Renowned for its effectiveness in treating chronic ailments such as neurological disorders, skin diseases, respiratory conditions, and non-communicable diseases like diabetes and hypertension, the Siddha system also offers specialized treatments in pediatrics, gynecology, and psychiatry. These natural and time-tested remedies provide a comprehensive approach to addressing a wide range of health issues.

With the launch of Siddha services, AIIMS Bhopal aims to provide integrated healthcare that combines traditional wisdom with modern medical practices, offering patients a holistic treatment experience. The Siddha facility will be operational from 9 AM to 5 PM at the AYUSH Building of AIIMS Bhopal, ensuring accessibility and convenience for all patients.
