A meeting of the District Level Peace Committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Development Commissioner Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat in the meeting hall of the District Council on Saturday regarding the Bakrid festival. In the meeting, the Deputy Development Commissioner said that all the deputed magistrates will remain alert in their respective areas. The remains of the sacrifice will be removed properly. Any kind of negligence in maintaining law and order will not be tolerated. Everyone's contribution is necessary in maintaining peace during the festival of Bakrid.

In the meeting, SP Haris Bin Zaman said that the festival of Bakrid has been celebrated for centuries. People are forgetting the main objective behind this festival, which is sacrifice. Its basic meaning needs to be told to the people. Celebrate this festival in such a way that no one's sentiments are hurt. Also, whatever waste is left, it should be disposed of properly. The city council should make better arrangements in this direction. Water and electricity supply should be available regularly in the city.

All police station in-charges should be alert in their respective areas; peace and order should not be disturbed in any way. On the issue of peace committee members raising questions on the incident of well subsidence in Senha, DDC said that after the said incident, the wells under construction in all the blocks were examined, in which the construction work of the wells which were prone to accident has been stopped.
