Action on pollution testing vehicles and school vans

Under the guidance of Indore RTO Pradeep Sharma from July 01, all the mobile and permanent pollution testing centers under the Regional Transport Officer Office, Indore were given necessary information and instructions to issue certificates after checking the pollution of vehicles through online method.

In compliance with the said instructions, a surprise inspection of pollution testing centers was conducted, in which during the inspection of the permanent testing center of Raghunath Prasad & Company, AB Road Indore, it was found that the validity of the pollution testing authority letter issued to the center by the Regional Transport Office, Indore expired on February 01, 2024. Even after the expiry of the validity, pollution testing certificates of vehicles are being issued by the said center through offline method till August 06, 2024.

Similarly, pollution testing certificates were being made unauthorizedly without the necessary machine in vehicle number MP09V6416 Maruti omni Van, which were found to be issued from the online ID of Maharashtra and Haryana state.

Taking action as per rules on unauthorized issuance of pollution test certificates at the above mentioned two centers, Maruti Omni van and pollution testing machines were confiscated.

Special checking of school vehicles is being done by the Regional Transport Office Indore. In which the speed of the vehicle, speed governor and documents are being checked. Feedback is also being taken from children and parents about the behavior of the driver and conductor. Action is going on continuously. Action was taken by going to different schools. During this, 01 Omni van vehicle was confiscated, more children than the capacity were seated in it. It also did not have documents. <

After safely dropping the children to school, it was confiscated. By going to the school, the school staff was also talked to and parents were also made aware about the safe transportation of children. 2 PUC centers running against the rules were also closed. 1 other vehicle was also seized. Action was taken against 5 other vehicles including these school vehicles and a fine of Rs 30000 was collected from them. Drivers were instructed to keep their vehicle documents with them, keep the vehicle in good condition.
