Action against dilapidated buildings continues as a dilapidated building of an Anganwadi located in Subhash Nagar was demolished.
After the death of 9 children due to wall collapse in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, dilapidated buildings are being demolished across the state and state capital. On Saturday, a dilapidated building of an Anganwadi located in Subhash Nagar was demolished. At the same time, preparations are also underway to demolish 6 other buildings.
In view of potential danger by dilapidated buildings , Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh held a meeting recently. Officers were asked to find out the dilapidated schools and other buildings. Officers and engineers of Education Department, Municipal Corporation, PWD, RES were given the responsibility. After this, such buildings are being demolished, which have become dilapidated.
On Saturday, action was taken to demolish the building of Anganwadi Center No. 543 in Subhash Nagar. The building was demolished in the presence of SDM Ravish Srivastava, Additional Tehsildar Ashok Singh, Encroachment Officer Shailendra Singh Bhadauria.
SDM Srivastava said that the building of Anganwadi Center was declared dilapidated by PWD, 65 children registered in it have been temporarily shifted to a rented building nearby.
