AAP kicks-off first Jansampark Abhiyan in Greater Kailash, Bharadwaj ‘warns’ people of BJP

Ahead of the Delhi elections slated to be held early next year, AAP kicked off its first ‘Jansampark Abhiyan’ in Greater Kailash where senior AAP leader and Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj warned the public of BJP, claiming that it will end all of AAP’s welfare schemes if it comes to power.

As part of the campaign, Bharadwaj also distributed Kejriwal’s letter to the residents claiming that his arrests were politically motivated and it is the BJP’s larger plan to derail Delhi’s progress.

Bharadwaj stated that the former CM Arvind Kejriwal has addressed the questions that were on every Delhiite’s mind through his letter: Why was he jailed under false charges? Why was his insulin withheld for months? Why was his life put in danger by the BJP? He claimed, “The reason is clear, after Arvind Kejriwal was jailed, Delhi came to a standstill.”

The senior AAP leader said that the BJP’s plan was to paralyse Delhi in the absence of Arvind Kejriwal. “Medicine supply in hospitals were halted, tests were stopped at Mohalla Clinics, pensions for the elderly were delayed for four months, doctors’ salaries were withheld, water and sewage projects were paused, and road construction came to a stop,” he alleged.

“Now that Arvind Kejriwal is out, work has resumed, and the public understands this well. The BJP's latest conspiracy is to take control of Delhi and dismantle the Delhi model,” said Bharadwaj.

He claimed that the people living in the states governed by the BJP are not being provided the services that Delhi residents enjoy. “The BJP has no answers to these questions. To silence them, they plotted Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest to weaken the AAP government. We are taking Arvind Kejriwal’s letter to the public to expose this plot," he added.

"People are already aware of the BJP’s tactics, and this letter further exposes them. In Haryana, the people wanted to oust the BJP, but the party used caste politics to stay in power. They push a narrative of Jats versus other castes. The Jats in Delhi should understand that while the BJP may pretend to support them here, they are clearly against the Jats in Haryana," the Delhi Minister stated.

Meanwhile, the Delhi BJP attacked the AAP leader and said, “People of Haryana have just rejected the deceptive development model of AAP as did the people of Gujarat, Goa and Himachal Pradesh in state elections as well as in Lok Sabha elections.”

Delhi BJP Spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor said that people of Delhi have made up their mind to free Delhi of misgovernance and corruption of AAP. “Whatever gimmicks AAP leaders may play, Delhiites will not support them,” he said.
