6 TSPC extremists held, arms & ammunition recovered in Garhwa

Garhwa police  have arrested six TSPC extremists and recovered arms and ammunition from Ramakanda police station area on Friday.

According to Garhwa SP Dipak Kumar Pandey police were tipped off about the movement of TSPC activists in the area and trying to collect levy in the area by threatening the contractors of the development works going on in the area, bidi leaf traders and public representatives at gunpoint.  

He said, "A police team led by SDPO Ranka Rohit Ranjan  Singh was formed to catch the extremists, against whom some cases have been lodged in Ramkanda  police station." 

When the raiding team reached the forest area of Tongapani during the raid, on seeing the police, 04 (four) uniformed armed men started running away. They were chased and caught by the police officers and armed forces along with their weapons. When the arrested so-called T.S.P.C extremists were asked about their names and addresses and further told that the weapon was provided by Nandu Vishwakarma, of village and police station-Bardiha. When the arrested Nanhku Chaudhary, resident of Hur Madheya  was interrogated, he told that Jitendra Chaudhary,  resident of Sidhekala village of Garhwa police station area, also has a weapon and is a member of their organization. In light of the above, a raid was conducted at Jitendra Chaudhary's house. During the raid, weapons were also recovered from his house.

"Five country made  pistol, 5 live bullets of 8mm, 6 empty bullets,  Keypad mobile-03, Android mobile-01, Silver coloured metal like stone weighing about 500 grams, One black brown colour  Pitthu bag containing 03 Jeans, 02 Shirts, 01 T-shirt and Sattu recovered" the SP added. 

Arrested Nanhku Chaudhary was active since 2016 and wanted in 9 cases to the police while Anand Singh wanted in two cases, SP informed. 

Accused have identified as Anand Singh, age 32 years, resident of Jaharsarai, Rahul Kumar, age 20 years,  resident of Hur Madheya, Santosh Chaudhary, age 21 years, resident of Hur Madheya,  Nanhku Chaudhary, resident of Hur Madheya, Nandu Vishwakarma, age 62 years, resident of Bardiha, and  Jitendra Chaudhary all under Garhwa district.

Rohit Ranjan Singh, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Ranka, Chandan Kumar Station In-Charge, Bhandaria Police Station, Sub-Inspector Surendra Singh Kuntia, Station In-Charge, Ramkanda Police Station, Sub-Inspector Anil Nayak, Station In-Charge, Ranka Police Station and  Armed Force were part of the raiding team.
