He said that Lohardaga district was established on 17 May 1983. At that time, the main challenge was to improve the infrastructure, irrigation facilities and agricultural system in the district. After formation of Jharkhand state, reform work has taken place at a fast pace. To improve the agriculture-based economy, aspects like irrigation, improved fertilizers and seeds, agricultural credit, development of modern technology have been given special priority and momentum in the present government. Special attention was given to the work of women empowerment in the district.
Earlier, under the Sarvajan Pension Scheme, male and female beneficiaries used to get a pension amount of one thousand rupees on completion of 60 years, the government took a step forward and started the work of giving pension to women of every religion and sect from the age of 50. Is. The government has made a new scheme, in which this pension will also be payable to mothers and sisters aged 21 to 50 years. This amount of one thousand rupees per month will be paid directly into their account. All eligible beneficiaries will start receiving pension amount from the day of Raksha Bandhan. Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana is already run by the state government under women empowerment, in which a total of 35,167 applications have been approved so far. Under which a total of fourteen crore seventy ninety lakh rupees have been spent. Apart from this, Kanyadaan Yojana is also running schemes like Sakhi One Stop Center. Under the NRLM project, 4855 Sakhi Mandals have been linked to various types of self-employment by providing loans worth Rs. 6 crore ninety lakh under credit linkage through banks.
The total number of beneficiaries till now in Sarvajan Pension Scheme is 52046. Those who complete 60 years are given a monthly pension of one thousand rupees. To ensure that tribal and Dalit weaker section people especially get this benefit, the age limit for receiving pension was reduced from 60 years to 50 years. The government has decided that a different type of card will be made for such poor and needy people. He said that the government gave detailed information about schemes like women empowerment, national food security, Jharkhand agricultural loan waiver scheme, Jal Jeevan Mission, village road scheme, education health etc. and gave information about other schemes of the central and state government. He also said that let us all come together and participate in building a clean, beautiful, educated, healthy and prosperous Lohardaga and the state.
