Kolar police have booked five persons including a police constable for kidnapping and extortion of Rs 30 lakh from a real estate businessman; the accused was held captive for two days and released after wife provided Rs 30 lakh in October last month now kidnappers are demanding Rs 10 crore after which complaint was lodged by the victim.
A case of kidnapping of real estate businessman Nilesh Singh Thakur, who lives in Danish Hills, Kolar, Bhopal, has surfaced. The incident took place between October 27 and 29 . An FIR was lodged on the evening of November 17.
He was invited to Gwalior by inviting him for an engagement. On the way, he was kidnapped from Ghodapur near Morena toll. All the accused are his former acquaintances.
The accused held him hostage in the basement of an unknown hotel and assaulted him, they demanded one crore rupees in exchange for not killing him.
Later, they assured his wife that they would release him for Rs 30 lakh rupees. The wife gave 30 lakh rupees to the accused on 28 October in Kolar, Bhopal.
On 29 October, the accused left him in Bhopal. Now the miscreants have again started demanding a ransom of Rs 10 crores. Then the victim lodged an FIR against the accused.
Nilesh Singh Thakur said that he lives in Danish Hills, Kolar. He is in the real estate business in Bhopal. Recently, he sold a land worth Rs 32 crore in Misrod. He was acquainted with Sanjay Rajawat resident of New Dwarkapuri Purani Cantonment Gwalior, Pankaj Parihar Piproli Gadhiya District Etawah Uttar Pradesh, Hemant Chauhan who was a constable of Bhopal Traffic Police, Om Rajawat resident of Purani Cantonment Gwalior and Akash Rajawat resident of Gwalior.
