A 47-year-old man who was injured in a murderous assault 10 days ago near railway track at Bagh Sewania, died during treatment on Tuesday night.
Two of his acquaintances attacked him after having liquor with him. The man identified as Maan Singh was hit with a stone near the railway track. The accused and deceased have a rivalry which occurred over a decade ago.
According to ASI Akhilesh Kumar, Maan Singh was a resident of Rajgarh district. For the last several years, he lived with his family in Ishwar Nagar Basti in Bhopal. He used to work as a labourer. He had an old rivalry with Sunil and Mangal, labourers living in the same colony. There was a fight between them about fifteen years ago, since then they became enemies.
On August 15, Maan Singh was going near the Narayan Nagar track when Sunil and Mangal blocked his way. They asked him to forget the enmity and drink alcohol together. All three have alcohol. After this, they started abusing and beating Maan Singh. When Maan Singh opposed them, both of them attacked him with a stone. After hitting him on the head with a stone, both of them fled from the spot.
Maan house is near the spot of the incident. After witnessing the attack, Man Singh's wife reached the track, the accused spotted her and ran away. After this, the wife informed the neighbors and family members and took Maan to the hospital.
