Members of two notorious gangs had a violent fight at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Central Jail of Jabalpur on Wednesday; one prisoner was injured in his face while other sustained minor injuries.
Fuelled with power tussles and dominance, gang war broke out in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Central Jail on Wednesday. Sarang and Chotu gangs clashed for supremacy. Sharp edged weapons were used to attack in the fighting. One prisoner has been injured. The jail administration has ordered an inquiry.
Gang members of Sanju Sarang Badshah and Chotu Choubey gang are serving jail terms in Jabalpur jail. Both are notorious criminals of Jabalpur, who are lodged with several of their accomplices.
In the early hours of Wednesday, gang members of both attacked after they came face to face.
Hrithik Tammiya, a member of Chotu Choubey gang, attacked Sarang Badshah. In this incident, Sarang Badshah suffered injuries on his face.
As soon as the jail officials and staff got information about the incident, they reached the spot. The injured were taken to the hospital.
Undertrial prisoners Hrithik and Sanju Sarang are rivals of each other. They had an old dispute. Ritesh attacked Sanju Sarang. Both are notorious criminals of Jabalpur. Dozens of crimes of murder, attempt to murder, robbery, assault and illegal recovery are registered against them.
