About 150 students from the Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal, visited the museum as part of their academic curriculum to conduct research for an assignment. The visit was led by Dr. Ujjal Kumar Sharma, Associate Professor, and Ashish David, Assistant Professor.
During the visit, IGRMS Director Prof Amitabh Pandey, introduced the students to the functioning and various dimensions of the museum in the conference hall of the Frequency Section. In his address, he elaborated on the role of communities in maintaining the museum and encouraged the students to work towards making the museum more accessible to the public through modern information technology.
The visiting group also watched an introductory film about the museum and a film titled "Man in Search of Man." Additionally, under the guidance of the museum curators, the students explored various sections of the museum, including the Inner Exhibition Galleries, Veethi Sankul, Coastal Village and Desert Village Open-Air Exhibitions, and the Tribal Open-Air Exhibition areas.This educational visit provided the students with an opportunity to understand the importance.
