In this connection, DGP Sudhir Saxena had instructed all the Superintendents of Police of the state to run a campaign and conduct a thorough investigation of district banished miscreants and take strict action if violations are found.

Criminals who are externed due to a continuous criminal record, often spend time hiding in their home or area during the serving of externment. There is also a possibility of criminal activity by  them during this period.

To investigate this, an intensive campaign was conducted in all the police station areas of the state on the night of May 28. All senior officers participated in this action that went on throughout the night.

During the campaign in the entire state, 2428 criminals who were expelled from the district were checked, out of which 141 criminals were found violating the law. Strict legal action is being taken against all the 141 accused who violated the order.

To control crime in the state, campaigns have been run from time to time against criminals. Along with this, action is also being taken to arrest such absconding warrants of the districts who have gone and hidden in other districts by gathering information about them. This is being implemented at the campaign level across the state.

In this sequence, with the aim of maintaining law and order in all the districts of the state and tightening the noose on criminals, the police took action against those who violated the action of district ban and the criminals were arrested. This action taken suddenly at night created panic among the criminals.

DGP Saxena has given instructions to run such checking campaigns from time to time in future to maintain the strength of law and order in the state.
