Nine trainees from the Bokaro Steel Plant's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, "Bokaro Diksha," have been successfully placed at Yazaki India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. These individuals, trained as Assistant Electricians, have secured positions with a net annual salary of ₹204,000. Upon completion of their training period, their annual salary will increase to ₹264,000.

It is noteworthy that "Bokaro Diksha" is a collaborative effort between the CSR department of Bokaro Steel Plant and Dalmia Bharat Foundation. The initiative operates a short-term technical training center located in Sector 01/C, aimed at enhancing the skills of youth from the surrounding villages of Bokaro. The primary objective is to prepare these young individuals for dignified self-employment and employment opportunities.

The training programs offered under this initiative include courses for Assistant Electricians, Solar Panel Technicians, General Duty Assistants, Customer Relationship Management, and Sewing Machine Operators. Future plans include the introduction of short-term technical courses for Mechanical Fitters, Welding, Plumbing, and Automobile Technicians. All courses are provided free of charge for women and differently-abled individuals.

This placement success marks a milestone for "Bokaro Diksha," demonstrating the effectiveness of its training programs and its commitment to the socio-economic development of the local community.
