‘Helmet Nahi To Fuel Nahi’, safety initiative unveiled

The Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West (RCJW), in collaboration with the Jamshedpur Police and in association with Kolhan Petroleum Dealers Association, TSUISL (JUSCO), Rotaract Club of Karim City College, and Rotractor of Jamshedpur, organized a Safety Bike Rally followed by a Road Safety Drive to spread awareness about road safety.

The event was graced by Chief Guest  Kishor Kaushal, SSP Singhbhum East, who emphasized the importance of safety to prevent accidents that could lead to serious injuries and loss of life. During the event, he released a Safety Board with the message “Helmet Nahi To Fuel Nahi,” which will be installed at all petrol pumps in Jamshedpur to encourage helmet use among riders.

DSP Traffic  Sanjay Kumar Singh elaborated on the causes of accidents and the undisciplined attitude of youth during drives. He urged the students to champion a revolutionary change in road safety awareness. His team conducted a Safety Quiz, and prizes were distributed to the winners.

Karim City College Principal Dr. Mohammad Riyaz addressed the gathering on the importance of safety in everyone's life. DTO  Dhananjay Pandey explained the new rules and penal provisions related to safety in detail. Kolhan Petroleum Dealers Patron  Alok Singh expressed concerns from petrol pump personnel about riders refusing to wear helmets and pledged to support all safety initiatives by Jamshedpur Police and RCJW on behalf of the association. The Kolhan Petroleum Dealers Association was the main sponsor of this project.

Rotarian Dr. Amit Mukherjee, President of Rotary Jamshedpur West, welcomed the guests, while Rotarian PP Anjani Nidhi conducted the entire program. Dr. Uddham Singh guided the Rotaract Club members of Karim City and extended his full cooperation in organizing the event. Rotaract DRR Rinku Kumar and Rotaract Prashant Kumar played major roles in organizing the rally. The safety rally was flagged off by Sr. SSP, Rt. PDG Pratim Banerjee, and DSP. A large number of riders carrying posters on safety embarked on their journey towards different parts of the city.
