Ex-IPS officer Doval reappointed NSA
New Delhi: The Government on Thursday reappointed former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Ajit Doval as the National Security Adviser (NSA), according to an official order. His appointment will be co-terminus with the term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi or until further orders, it said.
"The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Ajit Doval, IPS (Retired) as National Security Adviser with effect from 10.06.2024," said the order.
Modi leaves for Italy to attend G7
New Delhi: India will focus on artificial intelligence, energy, Africa, and the Mediterranean at the outreach session of the G7 summit in Italy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday.
Modi left for Italy in his first foreign trip after becoming Prime Minister for the third term. He will attend the outreach session on Friday and is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with a number of world leaders on the margins of the summit.
