To celebrate the historic landing of Chandrayaan 3 last year. An exciting educational event took place from 20th August 2024 to 23rd August 2024 at Nehru Planetarium, Shiv Shakti Point, Delhi. This four-day event engaged over 2,500 students from Class 6 to 12 across the nation in a unique hands-on experience aimed at fostering enthusiasm for space science.

Participants began the event by constructing a scale model of a Moon Colony using recyclable materials, a creative endeavour designed to inspire future generations of scientists and engineers. The event concluded in a collaborative effort to set a national record for the largest photographic map of Chandrayaan 3 on the Moon ever created by students.

This ambitious project allowed students to engage deeply with space science while contributing to a historic achievement.
On August 22nd, Dr. S Somnath, Chairman of ISRO addressed the students of American EduGlobal School, appreciating their efforts and encouraging them to continue exploring the wonders of space.

Speaking about the event, Mr. PK Samal, Founder of American EduGlobal School, said, "India is set to dominate the space research in the next decade and this event is a remarkable opportunity for our students to engage with the achievements of India's space program in a meaningful way. By participating in these activities, they are not only learning about space science but also developing critical skills like teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving. We are proud of their enthusiasm and commitment to making history."

Head girl of American Eduglobal School, Subuhi Grade 7 said “Participating in this event has been an incredible experience. Building the Moon Colony model and contributing to the photographic map of Chandrayaan 3 allowed us to apply what we've learned in class to a real-world project. We have enjoyed and learn at the same time. It’s inspiring to be part of historic landing of Chandrayaan 3 first Anniversary.”

This event is set to inspire a new generation of space enthusiasts and contribute to the ongoing legacy of India’s space exploration.
