The Congress-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has promised to provide a monthly allowance of Rs 3,000 under the Mahakshmi scheme, a monthly stipend of Rs 4,000 to the unemployed, provide six gas cylinders annually at Rs 500 each and launch of free bus service for men in the state.
Apart from conducting caste census and increasing the reservation limit above the cap of 50 per cent, the MVA -- in its manifesto Maharashtranama for the State Assembly election -- has promised to waive farm loan up to Rs 3 lakh and give plus a Rs 50,000 incentive for those who clear their loans on time, Rs 25 lakh health insurance scheme and free medicines to people, open up recruitments for 2, 50,000 vacancies
in the state government and create 2.50 lakh new jobs every year for the next
five years
The MVA has promised to frame a Nirbhay Maharashtra policy and implement the Shakti Laws for security of women and children, provide two days' menstrual leave,
Rs. 1 lakh to each girl upon attaining age of 18 and free cervical cancer vaccines to girls between 9-16 years old.
Apart from the loan waiver, the MVA, if elected to power, has promised to review and enhance schemes for the survivors of lakhs of farmers who have committed suicide in the past few decades, ensure MSP of agro-produce, simplify the crop insurance schemes, launch 'pink' and 'saffron' agriculture revolutions for the benefit of the onion and tomato growers, build permanent roads linking farmlands, among others.
On the health care front, the MVA has promised to increase the scope of the Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, implement a 'Right To Health' Policy, form a Tribal Health & Nutrition Mission, improve and augment health-care facilities and infrastructure in mofussil or remote areas and build a 100-bed hospital in each taluka of the state.
