Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate American aircraft manufacturer Boeing's new state-of-the-art global engineering and technology innovation campus in Devanahalli on the outskirts of Bengaluru near the Kempegowda International Airport on January 19, official sources said on Wednesday.
The PM will be in the city only for a few hours and according to BJP sources, he will be confined only to his official engagements and there will not be any party-related activities.
The Boeing facility in Devanahalli is said to be the largest facility of the aerospace major outside the US.
PM Modi’s special aircraft would land at Kalaburagi airport at 9:35 am. PM Modi would leave Solapur at 12:10 pm and land at Kalaburagi Airport at 1 pm. He would leave Kalaburagi Airport at 1:05 pm in a special aircraft to Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.
He is scheduled to reach Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru at 2:10 pm. At 2:15 pm, he would leave from the airport to Bhatramarenahalli in Devanahalli taluk by road. He would reach the village at 2:45 pm.
The Prime Minister will also launch a transformational Boeing programme for greater participation of Indian women from across all walks of life in the Indian aviation sector, the sources added.
