RECPDCL hands over SPV to PGCIL
Gurugram: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, the Maharatna CPSU under the aegis of Ministry of Power, handed over a project specific SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle). viz, Bhadla-III Power Transmission Limitedto M/s Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) on 28th August 2024 at Gurugram. M/s Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL)emerged as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) through Tariff-based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process conducted by RECPDCL, the Bid Process Coordinator, for development of the above transmission project on Build, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) basis.
1st International Symposium held
Amaravati: The inauguration of first edition of International Symposium on Current Trends in Advanced Materials (CTAM-24) was held at VIT-AP Campus. The 6-day symposium is being organized by Department of Chemistry, School of Advanced Sciences, VIT-AP University, in association with American Chemical Society. The symposium aims to bring together renowned researchers and academicians from around the globe to discuss the latest advancements and applications in filtration technologies, nanomaterials design, polymeric materials, marine ecosystem dynamics, photonic materials, green hydrogen generation, solar cell technologies, electric-vehicle batteries and biomaterials. Several highly accomplished speakers from Indian academia and from University of Cambridge, Tokyo University of Science, Hanyang University, TATA Steel, India and EATON, USA will deliver keynote lectures.
NFR Achieves Milestones
Maligaon: NF Railway (NFR) achievedsignificant progress in the construction of two of the Double Line Projects ie the New Bongaigaon -Agthori via RangiyaProject & the New Bongaigaon — Kamakhya via Goalpara Project. Once completed, the Double Line Projects will play a crucial role in enhancing the capacity and efficiency of the railway network for the zone, significantly reducing congestion, and ensuring faster and more reliable train services. The New Bongaigaon - Agthori via Rangiya Projectis spanning over a total distance of 142.97 km. The section from New Bongaigaon-Sorbhog, Barpeta Road -Nalbari, and Baihata- Agthori sections covering a total of 102.77 kms, have been successfully completed and has been made operational for train services. The remaining sections between Sorbhog - Barpeta Road and between Nalbari-Baihata, totaling 40.20 kms, are currently in advance stage. Infact, the CRS inspection of the Sorbhog - Barpeta Road section is expected to be completed soon. These sections are on track to be commissioned within the current financial year, marking a significant milestone achievement in improving rail connectivity within the region.
STUDENT second runner up in Shahi Mutiyar Award
Amirtsar: Rohini, student of first semester, B.Ed. Special Education (MD), a talented student from the Department of Education has been crowned the second runner up in the Shahi MutiyarAward at arecent show organised by NGO Universal Helping Hub Patiala. While congratulating, Prof (Dr) Amit Kauts, Head, Department of Education and Prof (Dr) Deepa Sikand, Dean Faculty of Education, said that Rohini’s outstanding achievement is all because of vibrant environment created by the Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr) Jaspal Singh Sandhu. The Department of Education is proud of such students for showcasing their exceptional talents and representing the department with grace and poise. This award is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and passion.
NBCC sells office space worth `14,800 Crore
New Delhi: During the 27th e-auction, NBCC sold a total unsold inventory 1.81 lakh sqft of commercial space for Rs 908.48 crore. Through this e-auction, out of the total area sold, around 1.21 lakh sqft having sale value of approximately Rs 596.25 crore has been sold to PSU/Government entities and 0.60 lakh sqft having sale value of Rs 312.23 was sold to private entities. The highest price fetched in the 27th e-auction for a unit was Rs 62,261/sqft. against the reserve price of Rs 37,161/sqft. This shows the success of WTC, Nauroji Nagar a destination desired by many to base their enterprises. The sale marks a significant milestone for the company and demonstrates the exceptional demand for premium commercial space in India’s capital. With this, NBCC has sold the entire 100 per cent office space of 32,87,567 sqft, valuing Rs 13,408.7 crore of which PSU/Government entities bought 23,00,942 sqft having sale value of Rs 9,307.65 crore and private entities bought 9,86,625 sqft having sale value of Rs 4,101.07 crore.
