Notwithstanding the Supreme Court order for deployment of Central Industrial Security Forces at RG Kar Medical College the striking resident doctors of the College said that they were not going to withdraw their strike anytime soon.
"We welcome the Supreme Court order but are not withdrawing the strike soon … we will discuss things in our meeting before we take a decision," said one of the agitating doctors.
The junior doctors statewide have struck work since August 8 after a postgraduate lady doctor of the department of chest medicine raped and murdered inside a seminar hall of the hospital.
