Describing Madhya Pradesh as a strategic hub for connectivity, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday said his government was committed to fostering the industrial expansion of the state.
He said that the strategic positioning of Madhya Pradesh had led the Stuttgart-based LAP Group to choose the state as its second destination, after Bengaluru, for expansion outside Germany.
Yadav made these remarks during his visit to the LAP Group’s factory in Stuttgart on the second day of his tour of Germany, where he also addressed a roundtable meeting on investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.
Yadav emphasised that the state government is making every effort to encourage industrial expansion and investment promotion.
The Regional Industry Conclaves (RICs) held across the state have helped create a favourable environment for setting up industries. As a result, not only national but also global investors are expanding their operations in Madhya Pradesh, said Yadav while assuring a promising future for prospective investments.
Yadav said that the geographical positioning of the state provides excellent prospects for industrial and business growth. The Chief Minister pointed out that there are many avenues to further strengthen industrial and business ties between Madhya Pradesh and Germany, including private investments, technological collaboration, and partnerships.
Yadav extended a warm invitation to industry leaders and investors to participate in the Global Investors Summit, scheduled to be held in February 2025 in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh.
He highlighted the growing significance of Madhya Pradesh’s partnership with Germany, emphasising that Germany’s technical expertise, combined with the state’s proactive investment initiatives, creates a strong foundation for mutual growth in trade and business.
Madhya Pradesh offers abundant natural and mineral resources, world-class infrastructure, a skilled workforce, industry-friendly policies, and a proactive administration committed to fostering innovation. The state government is also open to revising and refining its policies to further facilitate and encourage investments.
Yadav also highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is advancing toward economic prosperity and consolidation.
He praised Germany’s capabilities, noting that despite challenging times, the country managed to find a path to establish a strong global presence. Yadav pointed out the historical connection between Germany and India, with German scholars like Max Müller translating Indian Vedic texts, and German archaeology and cultural studies further linking the two nations.
