Ahead of the five-day long session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on November 4, Bharatiya Janta Party is set to elect its leader of the legislative party in Srinagar on Sunday.
The newly elected legislators are scheduled to meet in Srinagar to elect the leader of the legislative party.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, Central observers appointed by the Parliamentary board of the party, are expected to reach Srinagar to finalize the name of the legislative party leader.
According to party insiders, BJP legislator Sunil Sharma is tipped to be elected as the CLP leader.
According to a communication issued here by the Pro-tem Speaker of the J&K Assembly, the five-day session will begin with the election of the Speaker and the Lieutenant Governor’s address to the House on November 4.
Obituary references for former legislators who passed away since the last session of the erstwhile J&K Assembly will be held on November 5.
Discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the LG’s address will be held on November 6 and 7 while the session will conclude on November 8 with the Discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the LG’s address and the reply thereto.
