Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) — a Maharatna CPSU under Ministry of Power has acquired two Project Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) viz Sirohi Transmission Limited and Beawar-Mandsaur Transmission Limited on August 22, 2024. The purpose is for the Transmission System Projects for evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ Phase IV (Part 2: 5.5 GW) (Jaisalmer/ Barmer Complex): Part B and Part Drespectively from the Bid Process Coordinator PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL) after competing with various private sector players and emerging as successful bidder in Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process.
Sirohi Transmission Limited shall implement a Transmission System comprising establishment of new 765/400 kV sub-station near Sirohi in Rajasthan, 765kV & 400kV D/C Transmission Lines and associated bays extension works at existing substation in the state of Rajasthan.
