Aides of notorious history-sheeter Zubair Maulana opened fire at Nafees Adalat in Durga Nagar slum located in MP Nagar area on Saturday; no one was injured in the attack.
In the attack panic spread in the area.
The incident took place after a telephonic argument between Zubair and Nafees over gambling. Police have registered a case of attempted murder. The accused have not been arrested yet.
The victim Abdul Nafees operates Wasim Tent House, stated in his complaint that he went to a woman living in a slum near the temple and asked the woman not to persuade younger brother gambling. She told that younger brother does not gamble here but he gambles with Bablu.
After this, victim called Bablu not to make the younger brother participate in gambling and after some time, he got a call from the history sheeter of Aishbagh police station, Zubair Maulana and said that Bablu is his aide and abused and threatened.
About half an hour after the threat, at 12.15 pm, Zubair's shooter Salman and Raja, along with two or three other youths, opened fire at the victim.
Recently the accused Raja has been released from jail.
According to ASI Leeladhar Thakur, an FIR has been filed against Salman, Zubair and Raja for attempted murder. Whereas after the arrest of the accused, it will become clear who else was with them. In search of the accused, their possible hideouts are being raided.
