A District-Level Youth Parliament Competition was held by the Nehru Yuvak Kendra here with contestants from Balangir, Subaranapur, Gajapati, Nabarangpur and Dhenkanal districts participating in it.
District Youth Officer, NYK, Nuapada, Ashish Kumar Thakur presided over the programme, where Honey Sinha, Regional Director, NYKS, attended as chief guest and Satya Kumar Mund, NSS District Programme Officer, Nuapada as guest of honour. Anita Saha, Chairperson, Central School, Nuapada; Prabodh Hota, teacher and writer; Sushant Kumar Mund, teacher and writer and journalists Simanchal Mahapatra and Ratan Ketki acted as jury.
"Two contestants from each district securing first and second places in this competition will compete in the State-level competition. Those who qualify at the State level will participate in the National Youth Parliament to be held in the Parliament House," informed Thakur.
