In a pioneering move to enhance direct communication with the citizens of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has unveiled a novel initiative, the ‘Chief Minister Office, Uttar Pradesh’ WhatsApp channel.

“This platform, launched under the chief minister’s guidance, aims to foster a direct and open channel of communication between the common people and the chief minister’s office, providing an easy means for individuals to share their thoughts, concerns and feedback with the government,” a government spokesman said here on Saturday.

The announcement of this groundbreaking initiative was made through official social media channels, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to its citizens. The official handle of the chief minister’s office, Uttar Pradesh, @CMOfficeUP, underscored the belief that all 25 crore residents of Uttar Pradesh are considered ‘one family’ by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. It highlighted the government’s unwavering dedication to the well-being and prosperity of every member of this vast ‘Uttar Pradesh family’.

Recognising the crucial role of communication in democracy, the state government has taken this significant step to establish an official WhatsApp group, ‘Chief Minister Office, Uttar Pradesh’, to facilitate seamless interaction between the chief minister and the citizens.

This new communication platform is expected to play a pivotal role in swiftly disseminating information pertaining to public welfare and government initiatives. Notably, what sets this channel apart is its inclusivity – anyone can join it. By becoming a member of this WhatsApp channel, individuals can directly receive timely updates from the chief minister’s office.

The ‘Chief Minister Office, Uttar Pradesh’ WhatsApp channel promises to bridge the gap between the government and the people, fostering transparency and ensuring that the voices and concerns of every citizen are heard and addressed promptly. This groundbreaking initiative signifies a major step toward more inclusive and accessible governance in Uttar Pradesh.

“It is important to highlight that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is the trailblazer in adopting this innovative approach, making him the first the chief minister in the country to utilise a WhatsApp channel as a direct mode of communication with the common citizens,” the spokesman said.
