Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan attended the silver jubilee celebrations and Women’s Convention of Dindori district on Thursday. On completion of 25 years of the establishment of the district, they dedicated the development works and performed bhoomi-pujan, giving many gifts of development. In the function, rights letters of residential land under the Mukhya Mantri Awasiya Bhu Adhikar Yojana and benefits under various public welfare schemes were distributed to the beneficiaries.
The Governor and the Chief Minister also released the booklet "Vision Document" focusing on the vision of the development of Dindori district and also unveiled the website of Dindori Narmada Yatra. Governor Patel and Chief Minister Chouhan extended best wishes to the people of the district on the silver jubilee of the establishment of Dindori district.
Patel said that with the Mukhya Mantri Ladli Behna Yojana, the sisters of the state will become financially more empowered and self-dependent. Sisters will now be able to put forward their views more firmly. The Governor called upon that good health and education of children is important for progress. In this direction, all the parents should fulfill their responsibility in the efforts of the government. It is a matter of pleasure that the state government is working with full dedication for the development of all classes, youths, women, deprived sections and tribals. The state government has implemented the PESA Act in 20 tribal-dominated districts to strengthen the traditional rights of the tribal society on water, forest and land. He appreciated the government's decision to give priority to women's small, micro and medium enterprises in government procurement. Also congratulated the state government for being first in the implementation of Matru Vandana Yojana.
Patel said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resolved to eradicate sickle cell anaemia and TB from India. To make this public welfare resolution successful, we all have to make united efforts. Especially in 20 tribal-dominated districts, which are most affected by this disease, its investigation has been started, all citizens must get themselves tested. The Central government has set a target of 2047 for genetic sickle cell anaemia and 2025 for TB eradication. The Governor said that TB disease should not be concealed, in case of symptoms, seek medical advice immediately.
Chouhan said that the resolution of the state government is to remove the poverty of the sisters and take them forward and include them in the Lakhpati club. In the Livelihood Mission, the work of connecting the sisters of self-help groups with employment-oriented works and boosting their income will be given the form of a movement. Many schemes of the state government are yielding positive results for the welfare and respect of daughters in the state. The recently launched Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana will change the lives of poor sisters, they will move towards self-reliance with dignity.
The Chief Minister said that the people of Dindori are praiseworthy. More daughters than sons are born in the district. This is not a simple matter. Here the number of daughters is 1104 in the ratio of 1000 sons. Dindori district knows how to respect mothers and sisters. Here the sisters are progressive, they are doing the work of conservation of advanced seeds of millets like Kodo-Kutki. They have done the important work of preserving the fertility of the soil by saving a lot of agricultural land of Dindori from the use of chemical fertilisers. The state government is with the farmer sisters in their efforts to improve and develop agriculture in the state.
