he Nandankanan Zoological Park here has rolled out a convenient solution for its visitors to avoid long queues by introducing a WhatsApp-based cashless system for ticketing.
The primary objective behind this initiative is to avoid congestion at the ticket counters and provide a ticketing platform that is easily accessible on smartphones.
Visitors can now secure their entry through a digital ticket. To access this system, a designated WhatsApp number will be prominently displayed at various locations near the zoo premises. Alternatively, the number can also be obtained from the zoo’s official website.
Visitors are only required to initiate a conversation by sending a ‘Hi’ to the provided WhatsApp number. Subsequently, the system will prompt inquiries related to the booking, such as the number of individuals (adults or children) and whether they possess high-end or regular cameras. Responding with ‘yes’ or ‘no’ based on their specific needs, visitors will then proceed through these queries, the zoo authorities said.
Once these preliminary formalities are concluded, an option to proceed with payment will emerge. Payments can be finalised through a range of available payment gateways, providing flexibility to the visitors, the authorities added.
