Protesting assault of an employee of Weights and Measures Departments in Dewas and negligence of police, employees of the department will protest by not joining work on September 11.
Work will not be done in Dewas to protest against assault on a fellow employee and offices would remain locked in the protest.
Umashankar Tiwari, President of the Weights and Measures Departmental Committee, said that on September 5, employee Jagdish Ramchandani was assaulted in the Dewas Weights and Measures Inspector office.
He was doing official work in the office. Then there was an argument with the inspector's driver Sonu Yadav. Sonu attacked Ramchandani with a stick injuring him severely.
President Tiwari said, when Jagdish went to the police station to file a report, the policemen made him sit. Later took action under section 155 in NCR (Not Clearance Report). No criminal case was registered against the accused.
After sitting in the police station for 3 hours, when Ramchandani came out of the police station, his car was hit by an accident. Due to this he was seriously injured. In this case, Ramchandani and his wife also complained to the CM helpline to take action against the guilty. Despite this the police did not take any action.
Regarding this matter, there is anger among the state employees of Weights and Measures Departments from the Bhopal headquarters. They will meet the controller of the department on Friday. There will be talk about taking action under appropriate sections. Despite this, if attention is not paid, then they will not work on September 11.
