Narbheram Hansraj English School organised Space Talks - Students' Programme an Academic and Cultural Excellence on Friday. The session was conducted from Florida by Jaydeep Mukherjee, the Director of NASA Florida Space Grant Consortium, USA.
100 students attended this remarkable session through an online portal.
This was an interactive session where the students got an opportunity to clarify their queries regarding the space world from the iconic scientist of NASA.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
The Moderator of the programme Cdr. Sanjeev Raman, Vice Chairman, IACC introduced the speakers. D.V. Venkatagiri, Chief Executive Officer, Explore the Space spoke about the programme and inspired them to commit to the growth of country.
Nakul Kamani, Chairman, IACC and the President of the school Managing Committee delivered the welcome speech. He applauded the students for their keen interest and active engagement.
The Principal Paramita Roy Chaudhury in her address spoke about the success of Chandrayan – 3 and the excellent work done by the scientists and aimed to instill a sense of pride among the students.
The Chief Guest for the evening was the US Consul General Melinda Pavek who addressed the students through the recorded message.
Jaydeep Mukherjee, spoke about space exploration, the telescope and its scope. This was followed by a question answer session. The programme was well conducted and the students actively participated.
One of the students Pragati Sekseria stated "The event was so thrilling that I learned about the mysteries of our universe and marvellous discoveries of the James Webb Space Telescope".
