The Vigilance police on Thursday arrested and forwarded to court Pramod Kumar Choudhury, General Manager (GM), Electrical, South Co, Brahmapur, presently Senior GM, TPSODL corporate office, Courtpeta in Brahmapur, for possession of disproportionate assets, which he could not account for satisfactorily.
The anti-graft agency during raids found Choudhury in the poseesion of three multi-storied buildings , a farm house worth Rs 1.o5 crore, nine plots in and around Chhatrapur, bank and insurance deposits worth Rs 36 lakh, cash of Rs 67,000, gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 13 lakh, one three-wheeler, one four -wheeler and three two- wheelers
After thorough search, inventory and further inquiry, the income, expenditure and assets of Choudhury were calculated and he was found in possession of disproportionate assets which is 111% higher than his known sources of income. Further investigation of the case was in progress.
