Chhattisgarh Police on Sunday arrested three Maoist supporters in Dantewada district.
A search operation was launched by the police following a tip that a motorcycle and some goods had been brought to be supplied to the Maoists.
Dantewada Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rai identified them as Vikesh Goyal alias Vicky, Balram Tamo and Sumit Dixit alias Chhotu.
The three were apprehended from the Gidam-Bijapur road when they were on their way to deliver the motorcycle and other materials to the Maoists.
They told the police that Maoist cadre Mallesh gave them Rs 2 lakhs for the purchases.
They bought a bike worth Rs 94,500 and other items of Rs 4,650. They kept the remaining amount with them. The police seized the bike and Rs 1.08 lakhs in cash from them.
