he Brahmapur Development Authority (BeDA) built its first rock garden in the State on the outskirts of Brahmapur, Ambapua.
Secretary BeDA Sambit Rout stated that the rock garden has been created over nine acres of land at an investment of Rs 14.85 crore.
Major attractions in the rock garden are the mirror maze which has a unique ice age theme and the cosmos gallery.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid the foundation stone for the development of the project on November 30, 2016; however, the work only was initiated in 2020. The holdup was due to the lockdown and building-related foundations like a reserved water supply distribution and appropriate drainage arrangement.
On Saturday, Brahmapur MP Chandra Sekhar Sahu, local MLA Bikram Panda, Brahmapur Municipal Corporation Mayor Sanghamitra Dalai, State Planning Board Chairman Dr Ramesh Chandra Chauypatnaik, Subash Moharana, and various other corporators with district administrators like RDC, Ganjam Collector, BeMC Commissioner and Sub Collector visited the rock garden.
