Sarhul gives message of man-nature relationship: Guv

Governor CP Radhakrishnan today said that the tribes have a glorious history. Their civilization and culture is very rich. Along with this, the art-culture, literature, tradition and customs of our tribes have worldwide recognition. They are nature lovers and this is reflected in their festivals and rituals. Congratulating the people of the state on Sarhul festival, he said that Sarhul is not just a festival, but a unique example of the unbreakable relationship between human life and nature. Sarhul gives the message that man does not exist without nature.

The Governor was addressing the people at the "Sarhul Puja Mahotsav" organised by the Faculty of Tribal and Regional Languages, Ranchi University, Ranchi today. On the above occasion, Mayor, Ranchi Dr. Asha Lakra, Secretary, Vikas Bharti Ashok Bhagat, Vice Chancellor, Ranchi University, Ranchi Prof. Ajit Kumar Sinha along with teachers, officers and students of the university were present.

The Governor said that in today's modern era where the whole world is worried about global warming, the importance of such festivals increases even more. This festival inspires humans for the protection and promotion of nature. Highlighting the importance of trees, he said that "It is impossible to imagine life without trees, if there is a tree then there is life". Water level has increased significantly and rainfall has also increased. He said that Jharkhand state would be invited to benefit from the experience of the said organization in the field of tree plantation. He appealed to the people of the state to conserve water and plant more and more trees.
