Amity University Jharkhand today welcomed Veteran Indian Theater and Film Actor Vinay Pathak on its premises. Dr. Ashok K. Srivastava, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand conveyed his best wishes on this occasion.
Pathak has starred in many films including Khosla Ka Ghosla, Bheja Fry, Island City and Johnny Gaddaar. While interacting with the students at Amity School of Communication (ASCO) and Amity Institute of English Studies and Research (AIESR) he talked about his upcoming film ‘Ab to Sab Bhagwan Bharose’ soon to be released on 13th October 2023.
He mentioned that ideas and writing for a script are correlated. He highlighted the role of artificial intelligence. He has himself been a literature student so suggested English honours and Journalism students to compliment the utilities of each other’s fields.
“Hindi literature is quite rich. What we have created in the last century is still being worked on. For example, Ramayana. The point I am emphasizing is people are writing less and less. It is a matter of devotion to become a writer,” he stated.
Addressing the budding journalists of ASCO, he felt that it is this generation which can reshape the field of journalism. “You just need to imbibe and implement what you know” he told the mass communication students.
How many of each can watch a good movie without a pause these days or read a good book without breaks? A little attention from the next generation is very much needed for all of us to grow and evolve. The information is at their fingertips.
He expressed his love for food by quoting himself as a ‘foodie’. “It is very important to understand your limitations and how much you can push yourself,” he added. According to him, there are more platforms and less artists today.
Apart from the veteran actor Vinay Pathak, Ab Toh Sab Bhagwan Bharose movie Director-Producer Shiladitya Bora, Story and Screenplay Writer Sudhakar Nilmani ‘Eklavya’, Associate Producer Raviraj and Actor Vicky were present on this auspicious occasion. They also clarified the queries of the students related to writing blogs or films and how to bring themselves in spotlight through networking. Notably, Ab Toh Sab Bhagwan Bharose’s shooting has been done in Deoghar.
A Stand Up Comedy competition titled ‘Laugh Lounge 2.0’ was held at the end of today’s celebrations wherein students from various colleges and universities participated actively.
