The students of class fourth of Little Flower School celebrated Prakriti Utsav. The aim of the event was to create awareness among the students about the importance of preserving nature and to encourage them to take small steps towards a sustainable future.
These events are a good initiative by the schools which will make our future leaders aware about nature and environment. The best of this event is to provide bamboo toothbrushes to approx 100 students to start their eco-friendly journey with eco-friendly products.
Since toothbrushes are one of the biggest pollutants which are made of plastics. It was invented with nylon bristles in 1938 and this brush is still available on earth. It will not decompose even in 100 years. By using this bamboo toothbrush atleast one plastic waste will not come out from the household.
“ Vibhav Crafts and Creations with the help of Bamboo India (Shark Tank Season 1 Finalist) is trying to make the local crowd use bamboo toothbrushes with biodegradable bristles. We had put up a stall for exhibition cum sale of several bamboo products. The students were thrilled to take home a bamboo toothbrush each as a gift,” said an official.
He said that Prakriti Utsav was a great initiative by Little Flower School, many such events should be organised by schools which involved the students as well as the staff members. These initiatives will make our little children as Green Gurus of the future who will sensitize local citizens.
