Second accused involved in the murder of a 44-year-old man was arrested by police; the man was killed after he opposed teasing his sister and niece near Bharat Talkies during Ganesh idol immersion procession on September 29.
Seven days after the murder of a young man in Bhopal, a video related to the case has surfaced. In this, the accused is seen forcibly sitting among the women and when the man with them protested, he started fighting. The accused hit the young man on the head with a brick while his associates hit the women.
On the night of September 29, the ceremony of immersion of Ganesh idol was going on between Bharat Talkies and Alpana Tirahe in the city. Amit Sirolia (44) had gone to see this with his sisters and nieces. He was near Bharat Talkies when Vinod Thakur came and started to molest.
During this he started fighting with Amit. When the sisters tried to intervene, her three aides also came. They also started fighting. Meanwhile, Vinod Thakur picked up a brick lying nearby and hit it on Amit's head.
Devendra alias Pappu (34), the second accused in the murder of Amit Sirolia, has also been arrested.
Bhopal ACP Rakesh Baghel said that absconding accused Devendra alias Pappu Thakur (34), resident of Kainchi Chhola, has been arrested and sent to jail. There was a huge crowd at the spot on the night of the incident, but there were only two accused in the murder. Vinod had hit Amit on the head with a brick. Devendra had beaten his sisters with a stick. He was hiding in Bhopal since the incident. He has been arrested on the information of the informer.
